We are open 6:30am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. We offer morning, part-day and full-dayprograms. We serve children from 2 to 6 years old. In order to register for preschool your child must be 2 years old and in active process of potty training
2-Year Old Preschool Class
Our 2 year old program is designed to introduce your child to their first preschool experience. Our experienced staff will ease the separation for both you and your child. The children are introduced into an exciting new world with many opportunities for exploration and social interactions. Social and emotional development skills are initiated through out each well planned activities and lessons. Our 2 year old students are exposed to art and crafts, gross motor activities, music and movement, language arts and story time on a daily basis.
3-Year Old Preschool Class
Our 3 year old program begins a whole new journey for your toddler as your child begins to create a new "school" family. Our teachers build self-esteem, social development and confidence while introducing basic concepts. The children are encouraged to expand social skills, listening skills, attend and develop appropriate ways to express their emotions. Our day consists of large group and small group activities, story time, free play, songs, dance, cooking and art and crafts. Curriculum concepts include colors, shapes, name recognition, as well as, number and letter introduction. Our classroom classrooms and playgrounds invite opportunities for gross motor development, as well as, socialization. Story time provides opportunities to learn pre-reading concepts and story structure. We foster a child's sense of self through all activities including parallel and associative play. Our goal is to create a sense f enjoyment and security in your child's first school experience.
4-Year Old Preschool Class
Our 4 year old program continues your child's journey to become an accomplished and confident learner. Our staff fosters each child to develop a sense of self control while sharing and understanding differences. Listening skills are sharpened to discriminate sound, rhymes, and patterns. Reading-writing connections are enhanced as the children continue to develop a sense of sound/symbol relationships (alphabet awareness). Children are immersed in literacy experiences, read alouds, print awareness and phonemic relationships. Expressive language and vocabulary development is cultivated. Mathematical concepts, counting, and number relationships are enhanced. We also encourage more mature play expressions including cooperative and dramatic play. Greater fine motor control is nurtured, as well as, gross motor and balance concepts. This program strives to provide all the necessary skills needed for a successful transition to kindergarten.
Transitional Kindergarten Class
This program is designed for children that miss the kindergarten birthday cut off date OR who need a bonus year to enhance their preschool skills in a developmentally appropriate setting. We offer small class sizes and three or five day opportunities, as well as, full day, half day and part day care. Our teachers foster the learning in a child centered environment allowing growth in social, emotional, and all academic areas. Literacy interactions promote pre-reading skills, observation and prediction. Reading-writing connections are enhanced as the children gain new opportunities to use letters and language. Additional experiences are promoted to develop and strengthen numerical concepts and number sense, problem solving and reasoning skills. Cross curriculum units provide relevant learning opportunities in science, social studies, language arts and math. Projects, drawing and writing activities continue to strengthen motor skills and self expression. Upon completion of this program your child will have had many opportunities to become a self confident learner and be well prepared for a full day kindergarten program.
